Fresno, California (October 3, 2022) – A bicyclist was killed in a head-on collision on Sunday morning in Fresno.
The crash happened at around 10:20 a.m. on Watts Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Fresno woman in her 50s was riding a bicycle westbound on Watts Valley Road when she collided head-on with an eastbound Acura NSX, driven by a 45-year-old male.
Officials say the motorist was attempting to curve when he drifted into the westbound lane and struck the woman.
The woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The bicyclist was said to be wearing protective gear at the time of the crash.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
