William Shack IV Killed in Desert Hot Springs Accident at Pierson Blvd and Golden Eagle Way

Desert Hot Springs, California (August 28, 2023) – William Shack IV, 33, of Desert Hot Springs, has been identified as the man killed in a traffic crash on Saturday morning in Desert Hot Springs.

The deadly crash occurred around 9:53 a.m. on August 26 at the Pierson Boulevard and Golden Eagle Way intersection.

Shack IV was heading westbound in a Toyota Camry to the junction when he struck the rear of a white-colored Honda Odyssey stopped at a traffic light.

Police said Shack sustained a medical emergency before slamming into Odyssey’s back. 

Responding firefighters and medics found Shack unresponsive at the scene. He was rushed to  Regional Medical Center, where he died.

The 40-year-old Honda driver and a 5-year-old passenger were not injured in the accident.

No additional information concerning this collision was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
