P.MarkShayaniTerry Heagy Killed in Car Crash on SR 04 in Cowlitz County
Cowlitz County, Washington (March 8, 2023) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon in Cowlitz County.
The fatal crash happened at about 3:18 p.m. on SR 04, near milepost 53, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Authorities say a black 2013 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound when it drifted into the opposing lanes and collided head-on with a gray 2016 Honda CRV.
The Honda driver and a passenger identified as 70-year-old Terry L. Heagy, of Cathlamet, were injured in the accident and were transported to PeaceHealth St. Johns Medical Center for treatment.
Sadly, Terry later succumbed to her injuries.
35-year-old David L. Florek, of Kelso, was driving the Ford and was also transported to PeaceHealth St. Johns Medical Center for treatment.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
