Orange County, California (December 18, 2022) – Robert Nicoletti has been identified as the Ferrari driver who was killed in a violent multi-car crash on Friday afternoon in the Silverado area of Orange County.
The fatal crash happened at around 3:42 p.m. on November 16, on Santiago Canyon Road east of the Limestone Canyon Regional Park.
The California Highway Patrol says Nicoletti was driving a Ferrari when he failed to navigate a curvature on the roadway and collided with a Mazda SUV and a Toyota.
The impact of the collision split the Ferrari in half and Nicoletti was ejected.
Nicoletti was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Three other people were injured in the crash, one of who was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
