Rafael Hernandez and Gerardo Garcia Die After Fresno County Crash on Kamm and Jameson Avenues
Fresno County, California (November 17, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol has identified two men killed in a big rig crash on Monday morning in Fresno County.
68-year-old Rafael Hernandez and 28-year-old Gerardo Garcia of Caruthers suffered fatal injuries following a deadly crash on November 14 at about 7:00 a.m.
Police confirmed that a big rig and another vehicle collided near Kamm and Jameson avenues, just west of Caruthers.
The semi-truck driver was heading northbound on Jameson Avenue when they didn’t yield to a stop sign at the junction and slammed into a vehicle traveling east on Kamm Avenue.
Garcia, the car driver, and Hernandez, the big rig passenger, died in the crash.
The two semi-truck occupants were reportedly not wearing seatbelts at the collision.
No other information concerning this incident was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
