Man Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on New Stine Road

Bakersfield, California (May 10, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Tuesday night in Bakersfield.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 10 p.m. on New Stine Road.

The man was crossing a road and was struck by a car traveling northbound.

Bakersfield Fire Department and paramedics from Hall Ambulance arrived at the scene and performed lifesaving measures on the man.

Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the accident scene.

The driver of the involved car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
