Merced, California (July 22, 2023) – Police have identified 58-year-old Maria Guzman Aguilar as the woman killed in a fatal accident on Thursday in Merced.
The accident happened on Thursday, July 20, on Highway 99.
Police reported a tire and axle came off a semi-truck, jumped over the lanes, and hit Aguilar’s car.
Aguilar suffered fatal injuries in the accident.
No one else was injured in the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.
