P.MarkShayaniYuba City Man Killed in Yuba City Bicycle Accident on Feather River Boulevard
Yuba City, California (January 21, 2023) – A 69-year-old man was killed in a bicycle accident in Yuba City on Thursday night.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash was reported at around 7:15 p.m. on Feather River Boulevard, just north of Country Club Road near Plumas Lake Golf Club.
A 60-year-old Oliverhurst man was driving a white 2021 Ford F150 pickup truck northbound when, for unknown reasons, he broadsided a man riding a bicycle.
The bicyclist was ejected from the bicycle after the collision. He sustained severe injuries on his head and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased was only identified as a man from Yuba City, but his name was not disclosed.
Alcohol and drugs didn’t play a role in the crash, CHP said.
More details about the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
