San Diego, California (October 8, 2022) – Two people were injured in a suspected DUI car crash that occurred in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood of San Diego on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Balboa Avenue and Kearny Villa Road.
A 23-year-old-female was driving a white Toyota Rav4 southbound on Kearny Villa when she entered the intersection and collided with a Hyundai Elantra traveling east on Balboa Avenue.
The 51-year-old man driving the Hyundai suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman was hospitalized with minor injuries before being arrested on suspicion DUI.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
