VinsnowMan Critically Hurt in Santa Rosa Accident on Highway 12 at Los Alamos Road
Santa Rosa, California (May 15, 2023) – As per the Santa Rosa Fire Department, a man and a child were injured following a traffic collision on Saturday evening in Santa Rosa.
The crash happened at about 7:40 p.m. on May 14 on Highway 12 at Los Alamos Road.
Authorities confirmed an Acura Integra sedan was heading east on Highway 12 when it drove into the northbound turn lane at Los Alamos Road.
As the Acura turned left into the junction and the westbound lanes, a white GMC Sierra pickup truck hit it on the driver’s side.
Fire officials and medics arrived at the crash site to aid the victims. It took approximately ten minutes to extricate a child pinned in the passenger’s side of the sedan.
The child sustained minor injuries, while the male sedan driver suffered severe head injuries. The two were transported to a medical center for treatment. Police confirmed the man is expected to survive the crash.
Three persons riding in the truck were checked for injuries and released at the scene.
According to police, the truck’s driver was cooperative and not impaired at the time.
An investigation is ongoing.
