Julio Leiva Killed in Hemet Pedestrian Accident on Highway 74 at Leon Road

Hemet, California (July 3, 2023) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau has identified Julio Leiva, 75, as the man killed following a pedestrian collision on Sunday evening in Homeland.

The crash occurred on State Route 74 at Leon Road, just east of the Escondido (215) Freeway, at about 6:00 p.m. on July 2.

Authorities said a vehicle hit and killed Leiva of Homeland under unclear circumstances.

Leiva died from injuries sustained in the crash.
