Jonathan Gilkey ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Portland Crash at Northeast Columbia Boulevard and 52nd Avenue

Portland, Oregon (April 18, 2023) – 41-year-old Jonathan David Gilkey has been identified as the man who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Portland last week Friday evening.

The accident happened in the area of Northeast Columbia Boulevard and 52nd Avenue at around 6:36 p.m.

A TriMet bus collided with the motorcycle operated by Gilkey in unclear circumstances.

Gilkey was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

The driver of the TriMet bus remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
