North Beach Boulevard, California (January 29, 2023) – 57-year-old John Stanley Blackwell was killed in a motorcycle accident in North Beach on Friday evening.
The fatal accident happened at around 6:56 p.m. on Long Beach Boulevard near Ellis Street.
Blackwell was riding a 2014 Kawasaki heading northbound on Long Beach Boulevard at high speed when he collided with a southbound 2014 GMC.
Blackwell was ejected, and the motorcycle continued sliding northbound before it crashed into a parked, unoccupied truck.
Blackwell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 2014 GMC driver was not injured and remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The accident remains under investigation.
