Jenny Zavatsky Killed in Long Beach Accident at Spring Street and Palo Verde Avenue

Long Beach, California (February 8, 2023) – 90-year-old Jenny Zavatsky died after being involved in a crash in Long Beach on Saturday afternoon.
The accident was reported at around 2:30 p.m. at Spring Street and Palo Verde Avenue.
According to Long Beach police department, Zavatsky was driving a 2007 Lincoln Continental when, for unknown reasons, she crashed into four vehicles parked in a parking lot.
Two of the struck vehicles hit a 68-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy.
The Lincoln then hit a tree in the 2900 block of Palo Verde Avenue and Zavatsky was trapped inside.
Firefighters responded to the crash and extricated Zavatsky and rushed her to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The 68-year-old man sustained major injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The teen had minor injuries and was treated and released to his parents.
No other information about the crash were provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
