Rohnert Park, California (December 22, 2022) – The Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified Jane Ables, 78, as the woman who was killed in a traffic collision in Rohnert Park on Wednesday morning.
The fatal crash was reported at around 7:30 a.m. on Golf Course Drive at Labath Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Ables was driving a black Mercedes-Benz sedan northbound on Golf Course Drive and was attempting to turn onto Labath Avenue.
The Mercedes then collided with a white GMC utility truck traveling eastbound on Golf Course Drive.
Ables was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ables was a resident of Rohnert Park.
The GMC driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained major front-end damages following the collision.
No other information regarding the incident was available.
The accident remains under investigation.
