Gerardo Parra and Andres Quintanar Killed in Wrong-Way Accident on 118 Freeway near Tampa Avenue

Porter Ranch, California (March 6, 2023) – Two people who were killed in a car accident on Sunday morning in Porter Ranch have been identified.

The California Highway Patrol says the fatal accident occurred on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway at Tampa Avenue at around 4:25 a.m.

Authorities say a sedan was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided with a semi-truck.

37-year-old Andres Quintanar and 49-year-old Gerardo Parra were killed in the crash, according to the coroner’s office.

Two other people were injured in the accident and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
