Enrique Reynoso Dies in Jefferson County Crash on Highway 97 near Milepost 102

Jefferson County, Oregon (April 12, 2023) – Enrique Santellano Reynoso, 53, of Madras, was killed and another person injured in a head-on collision that happened in Jefferson County on Sunday night.

The Oregon State Police responded to the crash at around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 97 near milepost 102.

Reynoso was driving a Chrysler Town and Country and was traveling northbound on Highway 97 when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the southbound lanes and sideswiped a Nissan Rouge.

The Chrysler then collided head-on with Jeep Wrangler.

Reynoso was killed in the crash, OSP said.

The Jeep driver was flown to the hospital with severe injuries.

No one in the Nissan was injured.

It’s not clear whether alcohol and drugs played a role in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
