VinsnowElecia Vaughn Dies in Cle Elum Car Accident on SR-970
Cle Elum, Washington (May 18, 2023) – 37-year-old Elecia Vaughn was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Cle Elum on Wednesday night.
The accident occurred on State Route 970 at Red Bridge Road.
Washington State Patrol say a Volkswagen Jetta was preparing to make a turn onto Red Bridge Road when a Ford Econoline failed to stop and crashed into another vehicle stopped behind the Jetta.
Vaughn was driving the Econoline and was killed in the incident.
The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries and declined transport to hospital.
WSP said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
