VinsnowDiana Zuniga and Jeremiah Smeby Killed in Collision on Highway 4 near Morello Avenue in Martinez
Martinez, California (May 13, 2023) – The identities of two people who died following a two-vehicle collision that happened in Martinez earlier this week have been released.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 10:40 p.m. on Highway 4 near Morello Avenue.
18-year-old Diana Zuniga, of San Pablo, was driving a gray Honda Civic and collided with a Toyota Corolla driven by 49-year-old Jeremiah Smeby, of Antioch.
Both vehicles veered off the road and down an embankment.
Smeby and Zuniga were killed in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
