Bakersfield, California (April 3, 2023) – A child was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon in Bakersfield.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the accident happened shortly after noon at the intersection of King Street and Niles Street.
A sedan was traveling westbound when it crashed into a pickup truck at the intersection.
The truck rolled several times before coming to rest on the south sidewalk on Niles.
A 2-year-old child in the sedan was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Both drivers and additional passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
