Camdan McWright ID’d as Scooter Rider Killed in San Jose Collision at South 10th and Reed Streets

San Jose, California (October 21, 2022) – Camdan McWright, 18, was killed died after a school bus struck him as he rode an electric scooter in San Jose on Friday morning.
The authorities said the accident happened at around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of South 10th and Reed streets.
The school bus with students on board reportedly struck the scooter rider under unclear circumstances.
McWright was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The teenager was a former prep standout at St. Genevieve High of Panorama City in the San Fernando Valley.
No injuries were immediately reported on the bus.
More details about the accident were not provided.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash and is investigating the cause of the crash.
