Calsie Sockyma and Lisa Gordon were identified as 2 of 6 Killed in Tacoma Car Accident on SR 509 

Tacoma, Washington (July 21, 2023) – According to the Washington State Patrol, 25-year-old Calsie Sockyma of Arizona and 19-year-old Lisa Gordon of Arizona have been identified as two of the six persons killed in a Sunday morning crash in Tacoma.

The deadly collision happened at about 11:17 a.m. on July 16 on State Route 509 and Alexander Avenue.

Police said a Kia Forte was traveling on Alexander Avenue when a white BMW SUV heading north on SR 509 hit it. The Kia rolled over and burst into flames following the collision. 

All riding in the Kia, Sockyma, Gordon, and four others were killed in the accident.

One party in the Kia sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

Two BMW occupants were transported to St. Joseph and were in a stable state.

An investigation is ongoing.
