At Least 1 Killed in Costa Mesa Car Accident on I-405 at Harbor Boulevard

Costa Mesa, California (May 28, 2023) – At least one person was hurt following a fiery two-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in Costa Mesa.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on southbound Interstate 405 at Harbor Boulevard at about 12:56 a.m. on May 25.

Per the dispatch, two cars were involved in the crash.

One person pinned inside one of the vehicles sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities issued a SigAlert closing at least four lanes following the collision.

Further information concerning the accident was not provided.
