VinsnowMan Killed in Victorville Car Accident on North D Street ID‘d as Arturo Pena
Victorville, California (May 11, 2023) – Arturo Pena, 33, of Barstow has been identified as the man who was killed in a Tuesday night car crash in Victorville, the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office said.
The accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. in the 16000 block on North D Street.
A white Ford SUV and a gray Chevrolet SUV were involved in a collision with a BNSF train.
Pena was driving the Ford heading south on D Street when, for unknown reasons, he veered into the opposite lane and collided with the Chevrolet.
The impact of the crash caused the Ford to veer off the roadway, rolled down an embankment and came to a stop on train tracks.
It was then struck by an oncoming northbound train, the police said.
Pena was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people in the Chevrolet complained of pain and were taken to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
The accident remains under investigation.
