3 Injured in Car Accident on Highway 99 near Keyes Road in Turlock

Turlock, California (May 3, 2023) – Three people including a child were seriously injured in a collision that happened on Saturday evening in Parlier.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 9:58 p.m. on Highway 99 near Keyes Road.
26-year-old Christopher Frias, of Parlier, was driving a 2000 Chevy SUV southbound on the highway when he made an unsafe lane change and struck the rear of a 2019 Mercedes driven by 39-year-old Manuel Guillen, of Delhi.
The Chevy overturned and ejected front-seat passenger Erica Armenta, 27, of Parlier, and rear-seat passenger, Mia Juarez, 2, also of Parlier.
Armenta was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Juarez also suffered major injuries and was taken to U.C. Davis Medical Center for treatment.
Frias was transported to Doctors Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries before being placed under arrest for felony DU, and a misdemeanor of being an unlicensed driver.
Guillen was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
