Hesperia, California (January 13, 2023) – Two drivers were hospitalized following a major injury crash that happened in Hesperia on Thursday evening.
The accident was reported around 6:35 p.m. in the area of Mariposa Road and Live Oak Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A red 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and a white 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway and through a perimeter fence.
The firefighters had to extricate the driver of the Chevy from the car before being airlifted to a trauma centre in critical condition.
The driver of the pickup truck was hospitalized in unknown condition.
