2 Injured, 1 Seriously in Alpine Crash on Alpine Boulevard near West Willows Road

Alpine, California (January 12, 2023) – Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Tuesday evening in Alpine.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at about 6:30 p.m. on Alpine Boulevard near West Willows Road.
A 1987 Suzuki Samarai was traveling westbound when the driver veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 2003 Honda Accord.
Due to the impact of the crash, the Suzuki overturned and the driver, a 40-year-old Santee man, was seriously injured.
The Honda driver, a 70-year-old, was also injured.
Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.
CHP said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
