2 Die After Wrong-Way Crash on Beach Boulevard in Westminster

2 Killed in Westminster Car Accident on Beach Boulevard

Westminster, California (February 7, 2023) – The Westminster Police Department is investigating a wrong-way collision that killed two persons on Monday afternoon in Westminster.

According to police, the deadly collision occurred a while before 12:51 p.m. on February 6, in the 14500 block of Beach Boulevard near Hazard Avenue.

Authorities said a wrong-way minivan driver crashed with three other cars. The minivan was heading northbound on southbound Beach Boulevard at a high rate of speed. 

The minivan driver sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. A minivan passenger was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, where she died.

Another motorist sustained a leg injury and was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities closed the northbound and southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard to give way to an on-scene investigation.

An investigation is ongoing.
