Fremont, California (May 14, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car accident that killed one individual early Sunday morning in Fremont.
The deadly crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 880 Freeway near the Mission Boulevard onramp.
Per the CHP officials, a motorist stepped out of their vehicle to exchange information with another driver following an initial collision when they were hit by a passing car.
The driver suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the crash site.
No additional details regarding this collision were released.
The incident remains under investigation.
