1 Seriously Injured After Merced Truck Accident on W Dickenson Ferry Road

Merced, California (December 13, 2022) – Firefighters and medics airlifted one person following a major big rig crash on Monday evening in Merced, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The collision occurred around 8:19 p.m. on December 12, on W Dickenson Ferry Road at Highway 59.
Police said a Peterbilt big rig and a white Toyota Camry collided. One of the vehicles slammed into a pole before halting in front of a nearby building.
Fire officials and medical personnel rushed to the scene and airlifted one individual injured in the crash. The injured party’s name and current condition were not immediately released.
The semi-truck driver told police the Toyota driver ran a stop sign before crashing into the truck’s side.
An investigation is ongoing.
