Tempe, Arizona (March 13, 2023) – One person was killed and several others were injured in a fiery car crash on Sunday evening in Tempe.
Tempe Police say the accident happened near Country Club Way and Southern Avenue at around 5 p.m.
Two vehicles collided in the area in unclear circumstances, with one vehicle catching fire after the accident.
One person was killed in the evening crash.
Two other people were transported to the hospital with severe injuries while another was hospitalized as a precaution.
The intersection was temporarily closed and drivers were asked to use alternate routes.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
