P.MarkShayani1 Killed, 2 Injured in Car Crash at Southern Avenue and Clementine Drive in Tempe
Tempe, Arizona (March 30, 2023) – One person died in a head-on collision involving a suspected DUI driver on Wednesday afternoon in Tempe.
The crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Southern Avenue and Clementine Drive, just west of Priest Drive.
Tempe police say a sports car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a van. A third vehicle crashed into the two vehicles.
A passenger in the sports car was killed in the accident.
The drivers of the sports car and van were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the third vehicle was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
