Accident News Team1 Killed in Car Crash on Point Reyes Petaluma Road in Novato
Marin County, California (December 11, 2022) – One person was killed in a head-on collision in Novato on Saturday afternoon.
The fatal collision was reported at around 1:22 p.m. on Point Reyes Petaluma Road, north of Hicks Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2000 Subaru Impreza was traveling southbound when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 1999 Honda Accord.
The driver of the Subaru, a 22-year-old Petaluma man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 58-year-old Olema resident driving the Honda was hospitalized with major non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
