1 Killed in Car Accident on 15 Freeway on Old Highway 395 in San Diego

San Diego, California (October 14, 2022) – A passenger was killed in a car crash that happened on Thursday morning in North County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on southbound 15 Freeway, just south of Old Highway 395 at around 7:13 a.m.
A gray Honda Civic driven by a 19-year-old man was traveling southbound when it drifted into the shoulder and crashed into a disabled tractor-trailer parked on the right shoulder of the freeway.
An 18-year-old male passenger in the sedan was killed in the accident.
The driver of the sedan was seriously injured in the accident and was flown to the hospital for treatment.
The 32-year-old Riverside man driving the truck was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
