Merced, California (October 16, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a car crash that occurred near Gustine in Merced County on Sunday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Henry Miller Avenue and Cherokee Road at around 11:44 p.m.
Two big rigs including one that was hauling tomatoes were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
Officials say one person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
