1 Killed in Yuba City Car Accident on Highway 99 near Oswald Road

Yuba City, California (March 19, 2023) – A Westwood man was killed in a traffic collision that happened on Sunday morning in Yuba City.

According to Sutter County Fire Department, the accident happened at around 11:44 a.m. on Highway 99 near the Oswald Road exit.

A 30-year-old Westwood man reportedly crashed into a big rig that was making a left turn from Oswald Road onto Highway 99.

The Toyota became wedged underneath the truck’s 53-foot trailer.

The Westwood man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
