Bakersfield, California (November 17, 2022) – One person was killed in a car crash that happened in Bakersfield on Thursday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 9th Avenue and Driver Road at around 5 a.m.

Officials say a pick-up truck was traveling eastbound on 9th Avenue when it crashed into a box truck traveling southbound on Driver Road.

One person was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased person was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
