Woman Injured in Car Crash at Maple Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Rialto
San Bernardino, California (August 23, 2022) – A woman died after being struck by a car on Sunday afternoon in Rialto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Foothill Boulevard at about 2:47 p.m., on August 21.
A woman was driving a Honda sedan southbound on Maple when a Mercedes SUV that was traveling west on Foothill ran a red light and struck the Honda.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes fled the scene but was later located and arrested.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
