Woman Killed and 4 Children Injured in Encino Car Crash on Highway 101 near 405 Freeway
Encino, California (August 13, 2021) – A woman was killed in a wrong-way car crash that left four children injured on Highway 101 in Encino on Thursday evening.
The crash happened on Highway 101 near 405 Freeway at about 7 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Lincoln Navigator was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when collided head-on with a semi-truck.
Six people including four children were inside the SUV.

A woman in the car died at the scene while being extricated by firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The children were injured in the crash and were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
The big rig driver declined medical treatment.
The SUV driver was taken into custody for undisclosed charges.
