Wendy Rosas Killed, 2 Injured in Santa Ana Car Crash on McFadden Avenue
Santa Ana, California (August 23, 2021) – A driver was killed in a suspected DUI car crash in Santa Ana early Sunday morning, August 22.
At about 12:15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol and the Santa Ana Police Department received reports of a collision at 4800 W. McFadden Avenue.
The officers established that a Ford Edge was traveling eastbound on McFadden at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a Toyota Sequoia that was also traveling east.
The impact of the crash sent the Ford off the roadway where it struck a utility pole.
Driver Killed, 2 Passengers Injured in Collision on McFadden Avenue in Santa Ana
The driver of the Ford, 21-year-old Wendy Rosas of Westminster, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
Two passengers in the Ford were hospitalized in unknown conditions.
None of the occupants in the Toyota SUV were injured.
Meanwhile, the police found “containers of alcohol” in the Ford, leading them to believe intoxication was a factor in the crash.
