Violet Nazari, Juan Munoz Killed in Sylmar Collision on West Foothill Boulevard
Sylmar, California (May 18, 2021) – Violet Nazari, 57, of Granada, and Juan Munoz, 32, of Sylmar, died following a traffic collision that occurred on May 9 in Sylmar, according to the authorities.
The incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. when a 50-year-old man driving in the 16637 block of West Foothill Boulevard swerved across the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming car.
The driver of the second car, identified as Nazari, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident.
Munoz was a passenger in the first vehicle. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the first car was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
The authorities are conducting an investigation into the wreck.
