Victor Gonzalez-Avalos Injured in Highway 99 Car Crash near Avenue 184 in Visalia, Byron Camacho-Najera Arrested for DUI
Tulare County, California (June 30, 2021) – One person was seriously in a suspected DUI car crash in Visalia on Sunday morning, June 27.
At about 3:19 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a traffic collision on State Route 99 northbound south of Avenue 184.
The police established that a 2021 BMW was traveling the wrong way on northbound Highway 99 when it collided head-on with a 2007 Dodge driven by 31-year-old Victor Gonzalez-Avalos, from Fresno.

Gonzalez-Avalos and his passenger sustained serious injuries in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Dodge, who has been identified as 31-year-old Byron Camacho-Najera, from Anaheim, and his passenger suffered minor injuries in the accident.
Camacho-Najera was later arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
