Taft, California (June 10, 2021) – Two men were killed in a head-on collision in Taft near Dustin Acres, Kern County, on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on Highway 119, also known as Taft Highway, between Dustin Acres Road and Sunridge Avenue at about 4 a.m.

Two Nissan Sentras are reported to have collided head-on for unknown reasons.

Both male drivers of the vehicles were killed in the accident.

The names of the deceased were not immediately disclosed.

Taft Highway was closed for about four hours as the officers examined the scene.
