Tricone Killed in Head-On Collision on Avenue M near 30th Street East in Palmdale
Palmdale, California (September 2, 2021) – 44-year-old Tricone Raymond Sanford, of Lancaster, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office as the man who was killed in a head-on collision in Palmdale on Monday morning.
The fatal collision happened on Avenue M near 30th Street East at about 11:11 a.m. August 31, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 1998 Chevy Suburban traveling eastbound in the number two lane of Avenue M when it drifted into the number one lane and struck a 2013 Ford Fiesta.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles into the westbound lanes and were struck by a big rig transporting two trailers of hay.
Driver Killed in Car Accident on Avenue M in Palmdale Identified
Sanford was driving the Chevy and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Ford sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
