Sheryl Liv Killed in Car Accident on Highway 4 near Dunton Road in Oakdale
Oakdale, California (June 2, 2021) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a woman who was killed in a head-on collision in Oakdale, Stanislaus County, on Sunday afternoon.
The fatal crash happened on Highway 4 near Dunton Road at about 1:39 p.m. May 30, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A gray 2002 Nissan Maxima driven by Sheryl R. Liv, 43, of Citrus Heights, was traveling westbound on Highway 4 when it veered into the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a black 2016 Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
The Nissan overturned and came to rest on its passenger side along the westbound lane of the highway while the pickup truck stopped on the south shoulder of the highway.

Liv was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Memorial Medical Center where she died while undergoing treatment.
The 61-year-old Calaveras man who was driving the pickup truck was uninjured.

A CHP investigation into the accident is ongoing.
