Sheree Fishgold Killed in Highway 58 Car Crash near Broome Road in Tehachapi
Tehachapi, California (June 8, 2021) – The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a 62-year-old woman who was killed in a car crash on Highway 58 in Tehachapi on Sunday night.
At about 11 p.m. June 6, a CHP officer in Barstow attempted to pull over a motorist when the driver failed to stop and tried to run over the officer.
The vehicle then sped towards the Tehachapi area where it collided head-on with another vehicle on Highway 58 near Broome Road. The police said the suspect was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane immediately before the crash.

Sheree Lee Fishgold, a resident of Tehachapi, was a passenger in the second vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Both drivers sustained major injuries in the accident and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
A CHP investigation to establish the cause of the accident is ongoing.
