Ronald Matusick ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Highway 20 Crash near Rosemont Drive in Clearlake
Clearlake, California (June 15, 2021) – 70-year-old Ronald Joseph Matusick has been identified by the Lake County Coroner as the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision on Highway 20 in Clearlake on Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened at about 12:50 p.m. June 11, on State Route 20 near Rosemont Drive.
Matusick was riding his Harley-Davidson westbound on SR 20 when he collided head-on with an eastbound semi-truck.
Vacaville Man Killed in Lake County Motorcycle Accident on Highway 20 Identified
The Vacaville man was transported to Sutter-Lakeside Hospital by Northshore Fire Protection District ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.
The 50-year-old Stockton man who was driving the 2020 International semi-truck was unhurt.
The CHP rules out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
