Roman Calderon Killed, Vicky Davis and Jacob Funk Injured in Highway 20 Head-On Collision in Colusa County
Lake County, California (July 22, 2021) – 57-year-old Roman Calderon has been identified as the Clearlake man who was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 20 on Sunday, July 11.
The accident happened at about 8 p.m. on Highway 20 at Highway 16, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Calderon was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck westbound on the roadway when he allowed his vehicle to drift into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with an eastbound Dodge Durango driven by 27-year-old Jacob Funk, of Orland.

Calderon was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene of the accident.
Funk and his passenger Vicky Davis, 40, and two children, were injured in the crash and were flown to UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
