Robert Steven Meza Killed in Grapevine Car Crash near Fort Tejon in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (February 10, 2022) – Robert Steven Meza, 27, has been identified by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office as the Pasadena man who was killed in a car crash last month on the Grapevine.
The fatal crash happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 Freeway near Fort Tejon Road at about 3:45 a.m., on January 14.
The California Highway Patrol said Meza was driving in the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway when another car hit him.

Meza, a resident of Pasadena, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
The other driver was transported to Kern Medical for treatment of moderate to major injuries.
More details about the crash were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
