Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Car at 1st Avenue and Ash Street in San Diego
San Diego, California (August 20, 2022) – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car early Friday morning in downtown San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at the intersection of 1st Avenue and Ash Street at around 2 a.m.
A 32-year-old man was riding a Harley Davidson northbound on 1st Street when he failed to stop at a red light and broadsided a Toyota Prius driven by a 38-year-old.
The unidentified rider was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Toyota was hospitalized with minor injuries.
No additional information about the crash was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
